STRATEGIC PLAN
1. Networking opportunities:
a. Intra‐networking of professional to professional (educators and practitioners)
b. Extra‐networking of intra professionals to external professionals and entities
c. Serving as a hub for organizations to network with organizations
2. Mentoring and leadership - training on state of the art requirements to address current issues and plan for future issues that will impact designers-of-color nationally and internationally:
a. To connect professionals via digital media tools and occasional face‐face meetings
b. Outreach to students and design schools/programs via mentoring to elevate preparation and provide a
diverse pool of industry offerings
3. Advocacy- To educate industry, educational institutions, government and media to raise awareness of and connection to talent in order to diversify landscapes:
a. Funded Research
b. Scholarship
4. History and Documentation- Collecting and sharing the contributions of designers-of-color to business, education and community
5. Community Outreach Through Design - Using network talents to identify and address community needs
